Green Light Contracts are proud to announce that we have been accepted onto the Hampshire County Council Framework! This means we have been added to the list of approved contractors who meet HCC’s high standards and are trusted to carry out projects for the many schools in the area of Hampshire! In order to achieve this, we needed to showcase not only our vast experience with managing school projects, but also prove our H&S standards and Safeguarding practices. We also needed to demonstrate ‘Best Value’, to ensure projects are financially viable to meet school budgets.

To prove our Health and Safety excellence and Industry Best Practice capabilities even more, along with CHAS we have now achieved our SafeContractor certification! SafeContractor are the UK’s leading Health and Safety accreditation provider, who carry out compliance checks to ensure we follow all the correct procedures. We constantly strive to keep up to date with all the latest H&S guidelines, so you can be rest assured our sites are safe at all times.

We hope you are all staying safe and well – this has been a worrying time for us all.

After the initial shock of the pandemic and very quickly the lockdown, we have focussed on creating a plan going forwards for Green Light Contracts. This involved not only how Covid-19 will affect us as a company in the medium to long term, but also our contractors and clients.

We quickly realised that for everybody to be safe, we needed to start with a Covid-19 policy (with procedures) and a Covid-19 risk assessment that could be site specific. We did a lot of research around this as we would never want to put anyone at unnecessary risk. Where possible, we conduct meetings via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. If face to face meetings are necessary, we always follow social distancing guidelines, reducing the number of those attending to a minimum.

Clients, contractors, and the public can always come to us regarding any concerns and we will do our best to help, advise and learn through this ever-changing situation.

Hello and welcome to our new website! We are so glad it is finally up and running; we have been working very hard on it over the last few months with the amazing help from Fran at Angelfish Creative Design.

Today is a good day – we received our CHAS Accreditation!

CHAS stands for The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme. This means we had to answer rigorous questions and more importantly, provide evidence of compliance. It was certainly a worthwhile task, as the Health and Safety of our clients, contractors and the public will always be our number one priority.

After weeks of hard work, we are so pleased that our Health and Safety practices and procedures have been rewarded.
